Attic Flooring Prices & Sizing
Raised attic flooring used when I can’t lay a normal attic floor. If cables, pipes or runners are crossing the attic where the floor is to be laid you will need a raised attic floor. If insulation that rises above joists, insulation can’t be squashed down as it looses its insulating value and is less effective if squashed down.

This flooring is only used in attics where insulation is more than 150mm above existing joists, because of this it takes extra material to get above the insulation. This adds €2 per square foot ( if you ordered 80sq ft raised flooring €620 but you need Extra high raised flooring this adds €160 to the cost of that floor bringing total to €780 These apply to both flooring and stairs and flooring packages alike.
Hip Roof Floors
To floor an attic that doesn’t have a gable but has a hip roof uses a lot more materials. This means there are lots of beams crisscrossing the attic this generates lots of waste materials. This adds €2 per square foot (if you ordered 80sq ft raised flooring for €620 but you need Extra high raised flooring it will add €2 x 80sq ft = €160 extra. bring new total to €780 .) If the house was built pre 1970 this charge won’t apply as these hip roof attics don’t have all the beams crisscrossing the attic. These apply to both flooring and stairs and flooring packages alike.
